Family Consecration: Come and intercede for your family – Rev. Wengam

Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Ghana, is inviting Ghanaians to the Family Consecration Service. This event focuses on intercession and spiritual reflection for families.

The service will take place on Thursday, May 1, from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Rev. Wengam encourages everyone—single parents, grandparents, couples, and youth—to attend. He emphasized the importance of praying for families during tough times.

Rev. Wengam will lead the six-hour session with other experienced ministers. These include Rev. Mawuli Tsikata, Rev. Mawuli Benson, Rev. Michael Noagbewonu, Rev. Nelson Awintia, and Rev. Fred McDavis.

He stated that the event will focus solely on prayer without sermons. “It is prayer, more prayer and prayer—no preaching,” he said. Worship and music will also be part of the experience.

Attendees can expect personal reflection time and spiritual release moments. There will be opportunities to pray for specific issues as well as private time with God.

This service is part of Citi FM and Channel One TV's annual Family Month activities. It follows a month-long series called Seasons of Prayers with live sessions every weekday at midnight, dawn, and midday throughout April.

Rev. Wengam assured that this year’s service would address key family life areas like finances, marriages, relationships, and health. Couples can also renew their vows during the event.

In previous years, thousands have attended the Family Consecration Service and reported positive changes in their lives afterward.

Rev. Wengam stressed the urgency of this moment for families facing challenges: “We deal with family strongholds and demonic patterns.” He encouraged everyone to come together to intercede for their loved ones.

The service will begin at 6:00 a.m., ending promptly at noon on May 1.
