Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has denied reports that actress Joselyn Dumas has been appointed as Deputy Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President.
The speculation, which surfaced on March 2, 2025, suggested that Dumas had secured a role in President John Mahama’s administration.
However, speaking to Joy FM, Kwakye Ofosu clarified that while some creative industry personalities had been given government roles, Dumas was not among them.
“Miss Dumas has not been appointed to any such position. I can confirm that of the rest,” he stated.
Confirmed appointments include Kafui Danku as Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, James Gardiner as Deputy Executive Secretary, KOD as Director of Diaspora Affairs, Rex Omar as Black Star Experience Coordinator, and Abeiku Santana as Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
