Fire destroys Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College hostel

A fire has destroyed the top floor of a hostel at Kwadaso. The hostel houses over 150 students from the Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Students reported that the Ghana National Fire Service responded quickly. Their efforts prevented the fire from spreading to the ground floor.

The fire destroyed all belongings on the top floor. This included mattresses, laptops, provisions, stationery, and other essential items. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. Many students had gone home for Easter holidays.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. Investigations by the Ghana National Fire Service are ongoing.
