Fire guts section of ECG’s Achimota Bulk Supply station ‘H’

A fire broke out at the Electricity Company of Ghana’s Achimota Bulk Supply Point Station ‘H’.

The fire started around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 3. An explosion was heard by people nearby.

The Earthen Transformer “2” was damaged, along with other components.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service extinguished the flames.

This incident will affect electricity supply to several areas. Affected areas include Adenta, Madina, Legon, 37, Kanda, and parts of Achimota.
