Fisherman remanded for assaulting woman - Ghanaian Times

NII Baah Afful, a 29-year-old fisherman, has been remanded by the Gender Violence Court in Accra.

He is accused of assaulting Francisca Aryee, a 21-year-old woman. Aryee was carrying her eight-month-old baby during the incident.

The Accra Regional Police Command arrested Afful after a video went viral. The video showed him attacking Aryee.

Superintendent Juliana Obeng from the Public Affairs Directorate confirmed the arrest. She stated that investigations revealed Afful and Aryee lived together with their two children.

The incident took place at Korle Gonno after a misunderstanding between the couple.
