NPP communicator Ellen Ama Daaku has urged the government to prioritize economic recovery, stressing that Ghanaians expect relief, not political vendettas.
Speaking on Asaase Radio, she criticized the reported raid on former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s residence, questioning the government’s focus.
“Ghanaians are not interested in what happened in the past. They voted for you to reset Ghana, not to reset people’s houses,” she remarked, referencing claims that businessman Jakpa was involved in the incident.
The alleged raid, which occurred on February 11, 2025, saw about 12 individuals, including military and police personnel, storm Ofori-Atta’s Cantonments residence while he was abroad for medical treatment.
Daaku reiterated her call for economic relief, highlighting the rising cost of living. “You are supposed to reset the economy, making sure kenkey is sold at GHC1,” she added.
