Flight saga: Kwakye-Ofosu isn't a liar, he only relayed what was given to him – Oppong Nkrumah

Former Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah defended Felix Kwakye-Ofosu. He stated that Kwakye-Ofosu did not lie about the suspicious flight saga. Instead, he provided incorrect information based on his briefing.

Nkrumah spoke about how challenging government communication can be. He noted that Kwakye-Ofosu is doing a "very difficult job."

Regarding the Air Med matter, Nkrumah said he believes Kwakye-Ofosu did not fabricate the story. He argued that it was information given to him that was incorrect.

He discussed this during an appearance on JoyPrime's Prime Morning Show on April 9. Nkrumah emphasized that it is hard for ministers to verify all information they receive.

He explained that those who briefed Kwakye-Ofosu could have provided false details. If that happens, how would he know? As a spokesperson, he must relay what he's told.

Nkrumah wished Kwakye-Ofosu well in his difficult role. His views differ from some party members who accuse Kwakye-Ofosu of spreading lies.

Rev. Ntim Fordjour, Assin South MP, first made allegations about the flights. In response, Kwakye-Ofosu released a video stating Fordjour was lying without evidence.

Kwakye-Ofosu insisted the flights were legitimate and carried no illicit substances or money as claimed by Fordjour.
