Florence Adei Ohene appointed second Deputy MD of CBG

President John Mahama has appointed Florence Adei Ohene as the second Deputy Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd (CBG).

Adei brings over 25 years of experience in local and international banking. Her appointment is a significant milestone for Ghana’s financial leadership. She joins CBG's executive team, which includes Managing Director Dr. Naomi Kwetey and Deputy Managing Director Sheila Azuntaba.

Her role aims to strengthen the leadership needed to fulfill the bank’s vision. This vision focuses on delivering exceptional value to customers.

Florence Adei has held various high-level roles within CBG. Most recently, she led the bank’s International and Diaspora Business. There, she developed strategies that increased diaspora engagement.

Adei has a strong reputation for excellence and innovation in banking. She previously worked at uniBank and held senior positions in the U.S. with JP Morgan Chase, PNC Bank, and SunTrust Bank. Her expertise spans Wealth Management, Corporate Banking, Strategy, Project Management, and Business Transformation.

She graduated from Georgetown University with an MBA. Additionally, she holds two degrees from UCLA, graduating Cum Laude.

Florence Adei advocates for women’s economic empowerment and financial inclusion. She focuses especially on women-owned businesses. Her appointment is seen as a boost to CBG’s mission of transformative banking services for Ghanaians everywhere.
