Prof. Kwesi Aning leads the Office for International Cooperation at KAIPTC. He praised Burkina Faso’s President Ibrahim Traoré for improving food security.
In an interview on Channel One TV, he discussed Traoré's administration. Prof. Aning noted that the junta government is making positive changes for citizens.
He said, “In Burkina Faso, the gold mines have been nationalised.” He added that roads are being built and land is given to farmers. Most importantly, food security has improved.
These improvements are clear in areas once affected by hunger and malnutrition. Prof. Aning also challenged Western media narratives about Burkina Faso.
He stated, “In regions where children were starving, now they can live.” This raises questions about how the West portrays the situation in Burkina Faso.
