The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed embassies in Ghana to enhance conditions for visa applicants following public complaints about poor treatment.
Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that his ministry engaged embassies and high commissions after receiving reports of inadequate waiting areas, long appointment delays, emergency service issues, and difficulties with visa application websites.
In a Facebook post, he emphasized the need for diplomatic missions to create better waiting areas, reduce appointment delays, and accommodate urgent cases.
“We have shared values—let’s make things better for the people we serve,” he wrote, urging embassies to take immediate action.
