A 13-member Ministerial Advisory Board was inaugurated on Friday in Accra.
The board will guide the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its goal is to help achieve the ministry's objectives.
This inauguration follows the Civil Service Act, 1993 (PNDCL 327). The act requires establishing and renewing Ministerial Advisory Boards periodically.
The board members include Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister. Other members are Mr. Ramses J Cleland, Chief Director of the Ministry.
Defence Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah is also a member. Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson is included as well.
Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare represents Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry.
Additional members are Mr. Francis Kojo Kwarteng Arthur, CEO of Ghana Export Promotion Authority, and Mr. Simon Madjie, CEO of GIPC.
Former Foreign Affairs Minister Professor Kwamena Ahwoi is part of the board too.
Agnes Aggrey-Orleans chairs the Association of Former Foreign Service Officers.
