Forget recruitment; explain your deals at Ghana Post—Sam George to Obour

Communication Minister Sam George has responded to former Ghana Post MD Bice Osei Kuffour, known as Obour.

Obour called for restraint in the dismissal of workers.

Sam George welcomed Obour's offer to help but had a different focus. He said, “Not to explain post-December 7th, 2024, recruitment but rather the shady deals he engaged in as MD of Ghana Post.”

George added that Obour would soon need to explain his actions at Ghana Post. He advised Obour to exercise patience.

This exchange followed Obour's plea for the minister to reconsider worker dismissals. He insisted that the recruitment process was lawful and well-documented.

On Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Obour stated that all necessary procedures were followed. He mentioned that records had been submitted to the government.

He said, “The due processes were followed with the recruitment process. I believe he will rescind the decision if he reviews the documents. So, I will plead with him.”
