Forgive us for our lapses; we’ll do better next time - Bawumia to Ghanaians

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President of Ghana, seeks forgiveness from Ghanaians. He is the 2024 flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

During the NPP’s Thank You Tour in Goaso, he acknowledged the administration's shortcomings. He assured the public that the party learned valuable lessons in government. If given another chance, they will strive to improve.

“We recognize that we have made mistakes,” Dr. Bawumia said. “We sincerely ask for your forgiveness.”

He spoke to a large crowd of party supporters and residents. He emphasized accountability and reflection in governance. The NPP appreciates the support it has received over the years.

The party aims to regain public trust. “This Thank You Tour is not just a celebration,” he remarked. “It is also a moment of sober reflection.”

Dr. Bawumia stated they have listened to concerns from Ghanaians. They are determined to create a new path forward together.

He urged citizens not to lose hope in the NPP’s vision for Ghana. He highlighted achievements in digitalization, infrastructure, and economic stabilization despite challenges.

“We will not make excuses,” Dr. Bawumia asserted. “We pledge to correct our lapses and deliver better governance.”

In closing, he called for unity among party members nationwide. The 2024 election is crucial for Ghana’s democracy, he noted.

“Let us move forward together with renewed purpose,” he urged everyone. “We owe it to every Ghanaian to serve with humility and dedication.”
