Former Damongo MP Adam Mutawakilu appointed Acting CEO of Ghana Water Limited

President John Mahama has named Adam Mutawakilu, a former National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Damongo, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Water Limited (GWL).

The appointment, effective January 22, 2025, is subject to the required recommendation by the GWL Governing Board in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

In a statement signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President, the President congratulated Mutawakilu and requested a formal acceptance of the role within 14 days of receiving the appointment letter.

The President extended his best wishes to the appointee as he prepares to lead the national water utility provider.
