Ghanaian statesman and former High Commissioner to India, Sam Pee Yalley, has died. The respected NDC stalwart passed away on Sunday at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Though the cause of death is yet to be confirmed, tributes have poured in from across the political and diplomatic landscape.
Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin described Yalley as a "brother and friend," praising his leadership as President of the NDC Professionals Forum.
Yalley, a seasoned lawyer and former Deputy CEO of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority, was appointed ambassador to India in 2014 under President John Mahama.
Known for promoting Ghana’s global ties and championing women in leadership, Yalley leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, diplomacy, and social advocacy.
