Former Ghanaian High Commissioner to India, Sam Pee Yalley dead

Sam Pee Yalley, the former Ghanaian High Commissioner to India, has died. He was a prominent member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Yalley passed away on Sunday at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. His death has saddened many in the political and diplomatic community.

The cause of his sudden death is not yet confirmed. Political figures have expressed their grief over the news.

Alban Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament, was among the first to offer condolences. He described Yalley as a "brother and friend."

In a tribute on social media, Bagbin praised Yalley's contributions to the NDC. He highlighted Yalley's role as President of the NDC Professionals Forum.

Bagbin stated, "Ambassador Yalley was a champion of professionalism in politics." He recognized Yalley as a key figure in the party’s development.

Yalley's career included both legal and diplomatic roles. He was a seasoned lawyer and served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority.

In 2014, President John Mahama appointed him Ghana’s Ambassador to India. During his tenure, he promoted Ghana’s international relations and advocated for Ghanaian interests abroad.

Beyond diplomacy, Sam Pee Yalley was respected for advocating female leadership in Ghana. His dedication to social causes earned him admiration across all political parties.
