Former NDC stalwart Yamoah Ponko to be buried in March 2025

Former NDC stalwart Afrifa Yamoah Ponko will be laid to rest on March 22, 2025, according to his family.

At a one-week commemoration on October 31 in Ejisu, sympathizers gathered as the burial date was announced. Yamoah Ponko, a former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu, passed away on October 6 after battling an unknown illness.

Known for his dedication to local development and governance, he also served as the Ashanti Region’s National Health Insurance Scheme Manager during President Mahama's administration. His commitment to his constituents made him a respected NDC figure.
