Former NSB boss diverted Ghc 39 million belonging to the agency – Attorney General

Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, revealed that Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), allegedly embezzled up to GH¢39 million from the agency.

He shared this information during a media briefing on Monday, March 24, 2025.

Dr. Ayine stated, “We are still tracking suspect Adu-Boahene, his wife, and their assets. We will file charges against them soon.”

Kwabena Adu-Boahene was arrested by the National Investigative Bureau at Kotoka International Airport. His wife was also taken into custody last week.

The Deputy Attorney General commented on their arrest. He said he visited Mr. Adu-Boahene and his wife, Madam Angela Adjei-Boateng. They are currently in custody and assisting with investigations.

He confirmed they have access to legal counsel and are being treated well. He emphasized that no one should be considered guilty until proven so in court.
