Jimmy Carter, the 39th U.S. President and a Nobel Peace Prize winner, has died at 100 in Plains, Georgia.
Known for championing human rights and peace, Carter's presidency (1977–1981) achieved milestones like the Camp David Accords and improved U.S.-China relations.
After leaving office, Carter's impact grew through the Carter Center, which promoted democracy and global health, and Habitat for Humanity, building homes for the disadvantaged.
