Former Veep Bawumia visits Adum Blue Light fire outbreak scene - Ghanaian Times

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia visited the Adum Blue Light fire site on Tuesday. This visit took place in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region. He aimed to sympathize with affected traders.

Dr. Bawumia was joined by some Members of Parliament and former officials. Together, they donated GH¢200,000 and 1,000 bags of cement. This support aims to help traders recover from the disaster.

He urged traders to be patient while investigations are conducted. These investigations will determine the cause of the fire outbreak.

The fire occurred on Friday, March 21. It devastated the entire Blue Light market area in Kumasi's Central Business District. The disaster destroyed merchandise worth millions and left many traders jobless and financially strained.
