Former Vice President’s ADC’s residence raided by National Security operatives

The home of DSP Issahaku Yakubu, a former Vice President’s aide, was raided yesterday. The individuals involved claimed to be National Security operatives.

This raid has raised serious questions about the security forces' actions. It appeared to happen without cause or an official warrant.

The raid occurred early in the morning. The operatives arrived unannounced and acted aggressively. Witnesses reported that they used force to break down the gate.

Once inside, the operatives destroyed doors to the main bedrooms. They caused extensive damage throughout the home. Rooms were ransacked, and personal belongings were scattered everywhere.

Even a mini mosque within the house was affected by the chaos. This raises concerns about whether the raid was legally justified.

The operatives removed hard drives from CCTV cameras on the premises. This has led to further questions about their motives for the raid.

The individuals did not wear visible identification during the operation. They also failed to provide any explanation for their actions at that time.

This lack of transparency has fueled suspicions about the legitimacy of the raid. Some observers believe it may have been politically motivated due to DSP Yakubu's ties with former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Public outrage has followed this event, with many calling for clarification from both government and National Security officials. The violent nature of the raid raises concerns about human rights and rule of law in the country.

As of now, there has been no official statement from National Security regarding this incident.
