Forty under 40 awards global: Veros petroleum CEO grabs best in oil and gas award

Yahya Tarek Diab, CEO of Veros Petroleum Limited, has won the Global Best Icon in Oil and Gas Award. This award was presented at the Forty Under 40 Awards Global in Dubai. It recognizes his leadership in making the Oil and Gas sector sustainable and innovative.

Veros Petroleum has been a trusted name in Ghana's Oil and Gas Marketing since 2014. The company is known for its licensed supply of petroleum products. Yahya Tarek Diab is an accomplished entrepreneur, technologist, pilot, and philanthropist. He has excelled at solving complex challenges, earning this recognition.

The Forty Under 40 Awards Global is organized by Xodus Communications Limited. It honors influential CEOs under 40 who are committed to global business. The awards also aim to connect global business champions.

After receiving the award, Yahya Tarek Diab addressed the audience. He said, "You don’t have to be great to start; you have to start to be great." He emphasized that life offers two choices: sink or swim. Ten years ago, he chose to swim.

He proudly stated that Veros Petroleum competes with major industry players. At just 27 years old, his company operates over twenty-one fuel stations across Ghana. It has created over 400 jobs directly and indirectly.

Yahya expressed gratitude for the award, dedicating it to his company and Ghana. He thanked the nation for its diversity and support with a smile. The second edition of the Forty Under 40 Awards featured competitors from about 15 countries worldwide.
