Foster confirmation of MMDCEs - V/Regional Minister appeals to chiefs

The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has made an appeal. He urged chiefs in the region to support the confirmation of Municipal and District Chief Executives. These officials were nominated by President John Dramani Mahama.

Mr. Gunu emphasized that chiefs play a vital role in local governance. Their influence is important for development in all areas.

He spoke at the coronation ceremony of Togbi Ekpe Subo V. This event took place at Anlo-Afiadenyigba in the Keta Municipality. Mr. Gunu noted that chiefs are custodians of the land and their voices matter.

"I urge you, chiefs, to endorse President Mahama's MMDCEs nominations," he said. He asked assembly members to support these nominees for community progress.
