The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested four suspects. They are linked to a shooting that killed five people at Asiyaw, near Akwane-Dobro.
The suspects are Samuel Atsu Forson, also known as Alanyo; Freeheart Kweku Sedonu; Kwesi Prince; and Benjamin Adzalekor. Police found them in their hideouts after investigating the incident.
The shooting happened on April 29, 2025. It resulted from a violent clash between two groups over sand winning operations. This confrontation led to the tragic deaths of five individuals.
On May 2, the suspects appeared in the Osino District Court. Samuel Atsu Forson, Freeheart Kweku Sedonu, and Kwesi Prince were remanded into prison custody. Benjamin Adzalekor was remanded into police custody.
All four suspects will return to court on May 8, 2025. The police promised a thorough investigation and emphasized their commitment to justice.
“The suspects will go through the due process of law,” stated the police.
