IMANI Africa’s Founding President, Franklin Cudjoe, has introduced the RESET Challenge—Revitalising the Economy through Stewardship & Ethical Transformation— as a governance reform model to tackle financial mismanagement in Ghana’s public sector.
Speaking at the National Economic Dialogue in Accra, he described Ghana’s governance system as outdated and inefficient, emphasizing the need for a framework that prioritizes stewardship over bureaucracy.
RESET proposes five key reforms, including a transparent governance framework, radical transparency measures, bi-weekly town halls for public engagement, stakeholder-driven feedback mechanisms, and regular performance evaluations for officials.
Cudjoe argued that RESET would complement existing oversight mechanisms by fostering ethical leadership and reducing political patronage.
He urged policymakers to refine and adopt the model, stressing that Ghana must embrace governance transformation to ensure a sustainable future.
