Franklin Cudjoe slams Ashanti Reg. Minister over back and forth with fire Service PR Officer

Franklin Cudjoe from Imani Africa criticized Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene. He disagreed with the Minister's claim that Alex King Nartey is a politician. This claim was made because Nartey set the record straight.

Cudjoe urged the Minister to focus on his responsibilities. He suggested that the Minister should not interfere in irrelevant matters.

In a social media post, Cudjoe asked, “Must everyone belong to a party to express their views?” He questioned if Nartey's 2015 comment caused recent fire outbreaks.

Cudjoe emphasized that the regional minister should help reduce market congestion. He criticized the Minister for attacking a fire officer doing his job.

Over the weekend, Alex King Nartey faced backlash from members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). This was after he questioned the Minister for yelling at firefighters in Kumasi.

The Ashanti Regional Minister used Nartey's old posts from 2015 as evidence of his political ties. These posts were critical of former President John Dramani Mahama.
