Former NPP Chairman Freddie Blay has expressed deep concern over what he describes as a "witch-hunt" against his son's business by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, leader of Operation Recover All Loot.
Blay alleges Ablakwa is deliberately targeting his son’s beach club, which employs over 250 people, while ignoring similar establishments in the area.
“Why only my son’s company? This is personalized witch-hunting,” Blay lamented, accusing Ablakwa of pushing the Ghana Tourism Authority to revoke the business’s license.
He stressed the positive contributions of his son’s business in providing employment and entertainment for locals and diasporans alike.
Ablakwa, however, maintains that his actions aim to combat state capture.
He has filed a private members’ bill to prevent government appointees and their associates from acquiring state lands for personal gain.
