FreezeLink recognized by Bloomberg for agri and pharma innovation

FreezeLink, a Ghanaian company, has been recognized by Bloomberg. It is one of the 25 African companies to watch in 2025.

This recognition highlights FreezeLink's work in reducing food and medicine waste. The company uses cold chain logistics and engineering solutions. Its innovative pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) solar-powered cold storage is particularly noteworthy.

Bloomberg selected FreezeLink after a thorough process. Arijit Ghosh, Africa Managing Editor at Bloomberg, explained their approach. They reviewed 2,000 companies and studied 150 closely before choosing the top 25.

FreezeLink addresses a key issue in African development. It provides affordable cold storage infrastructure to reduce post-harvest losses. This helps farmers access larger markets and increase their incomes.

Solomon Kportuphey, a spokesperson for FreezeLink, emphasized this impact. He stated that FreezeLink fights the long-term challenge of post-harvest losses in agriculture.

The company's goal is to create "Horticulture highways." These will connect African farmers to local and global markets with essential services.

Recently, FreezeLink's CEO spoke at the Qatar Economic Forum powered by Bloomberg. This event allowed him to showcase their solutions alongside notable figures like Michael Bloomberg and Elon Musk.

FreezeLink’s achievement highlights Ghanaian innovation in tackling critical challenges. It serves as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs across the nation.
