The Interior Ministry has declared Friday, December 6, 2024, a statutory holiday to mark Ghana's annual Farmers' Day celebration.
In a statement signed by Minister Henry Quartey, the public was urged to observe the day nationwide.
Although the 40th Farmers' Day celebration, themed “Building Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security”, was marked earlier on November 8 to accommodate the December 7 general elections, December 6 retains its status as a statutory holiday.
The government encourages citizens to honor the day, recognizing the critical contributions of farmers to the nation’s development.
