“From dancing “Sisi fia” in power to doing this in opposition?” – Netizen mocks Bawumia

A netizen has mocked former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He was seen dancing during the NPP’s thank you tour.

The netizen noted that Dr. Bawumia danced to King Paluta’s song “Sisi fia” while in power. Now, he is dancing to gospel songs instead. The netizen posted on X, “From dancing ‘Sisi fia’ in power to doing this in opposition? Who are they deceiving? ????”

During the campaign, Dr. Bawumia often danced on stage with a mic at his back. This was happening while Ghanaians faced severe economic hardship.

Many Ghanaians have complained about the economy as the 2024 elections approach. They are also frustrated by numerous scandals from the NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo.

Dr. Bawumia has pointed out issues that contributed to their defeat in the upcoming elections. He cited economic hardship, government arrogance, and the e-levy as key factors.

Speaking in Takoradi on April 26, he said studies showed people were unhappy about living costs and debt restructuring. He mentioned that for eight years, they ignored calls for ministerial reshuffles.

Dr. Bawumia added that despite promises of no haircut on debts, Ghanaians ended up facing cuts anyway. He noted that many programs like NABCO and afforestation were not funded properly.

He also highlighted a lack of development in regions where they received most votes, particularly in the Western Region.

As they head into the 2024 elections, Dr. Bawumia stated that the NPP is not united.
