The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has refuted claims of widespread worker agitation over alleged unfair promotions.

Responding to media reports suggesting political influence in staff advancements, GACL management clarified that all promotions followed due process, including departmental recommendations and panel evaluations involving the Public Services Commission and professional bodies.

In a statement, GACL emphasized its commitment to merit-based promotions, revealing that in 2024, 109 Aviation Security Personnel were promoted, many with years of dedicated service.

The company also dismissed allegations that certain individuals were promoted within three months of engagement.

GACL assured stakeholders of its commitment to transparency, accountability, and operational excellence, urging the public to disregard misinformation regarding its promotion policies.
