President John Dramani Mahama has announced the introduction of a Home Ownership Scheme tailored for the Ghana Armed Forces, aiming to improve the welfare of military personnel.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Regular Career Course 63 at the Ghana Military Academy in Accra, Mahama said the initiative will offer officers and soldiers the opportunity to own private homes.
He emphasized the urgent need to address housing challenges within the Armed Forces, promising the construction of new barracks and the refurbishment of neglected military accommodations nationwide.
“No service member should live under poor conditions,” he stressed.
The proposed scheme seeks to provide long-term security and dignity to the country's dedicated military personnel, positioning housing as a top priority in his broader agenda to enhance the wellbeing of Ghana’s security forces.
