GEPA Impact Hub seminar tackles 'Culture and Communication in International Trade'

On Friday, April 11, 2025, the Ghana Export Promotion Authority held a seminar. This event took place at their technology-driven information centre, Impact Hub. The topic was 'Culture and Communication in International Trade'.

The seminar attracted stakeholders from the export sector. Business representatives from diaspora African associations in Ghana also attended. The goal was to identify solutions for communication issues affecting local businesses.

Ambrose Edwin Nsarkoh, Deputy CEO of GEPA, addressed the participants. He emphasized the government's commitment to support Ghanaian exporters. This support aims to enhance competitiveness in international markets, especially within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Nsarkoh explained that understanding cultural diversity can improve trade relations. He highlighted that this seminar provides a platform for exploring these ideas.

He quoted President John Dramani Mahama's belief in Ghana's export potential. The President envisions exports transforming the economy. Nsarkoh stated that initiatives like this help build stronger international networks.

Dr. Rachel Victoria Brown served as the chief resource person for the event. She is a faculty member at several institutions, including the University of Media Arts and Communications and the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
