The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced an optional Easter break. This applies to Form 2 students in Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools. The break will run from Thursday, April 17, to Monday, April 21, 2025.
A statement was issued to all Regional Directors of Education on April 11, 2025. It encourages students to travel home for Easter celebrations with their families. However, the break is not mandatory.
Students who choose to stay on campus can do so with supervision. GES expects all traveling students to return by Tuesday, April 22, 2025. They should resume academic activities promptly.
This decision aims to provide flexibility for students and families during Easter. It also ensures that academic schedules remain intact.
