The Ghana Education Service (GES) has approved an optional Easter break for Form 2 students in Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools under the Transitional Track system.

In a statement issued to Regional Directors, GES stated that the break will run from Thursday, April 17 to Monday, April 21, 2025. Students who wish to celebrate the Easter holidays with their families are permitted to travel home.

However, the Service emphasized that the break is not mandatory.

Students who choose to remain on campus will be accommodated and supervised appropriately throughout the period.

GES further directed that all students must return on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, to resume full academic activities without delay.

Schools are expected to ensure a smooth transition back into the academic schedule after the break.
