GES launches comprehensive portal to streamline education data management

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has introduced the Ghana Education Service Management Information System (GESMIS), a centralized digital platform to manage data for teaching and non-teaching staff, learners, and pre-tertiary institutions.

GESMIS includes features like salary issue resolution, QR code verification for official letters, and access to academic reports for students and parents.

Each staff member is assigned a unique identification number for personalized access to information, including employment history, promotions, and retirement timelines.

Director-General Dr. Eric Nkansah revealed that the locally developed system replaces costly third-party platforms, saving the GES substantial funds.

It also simplifies processes such as transfers and promotions, making them fully digital and accessible in real-time.
