‘GETFund, SLTF not limited to public tertiary institution students’

Mr. Peter Kwasi Nortsu-Kotoe is the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education. He clarified that the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) are available to all Ghanaian students. This includes those attending private universities.

He urged authorities at private institutions to raise awareness among their students. This is especially important for brilliant but needy students who may need support.

Mr. Nortsu-Kotoe made these comments during a visit on Wednesday. The committee visited several private universities in the Greater Accra Region. They aimed to understand operations and identify challenges faced by these institutions.

The universities visited included Accra College of Medicine, Wisconsin International University College, and Regent University College of Science and Technology.
