GETFund warns public against fraudulent scholarship scams

The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has issued a warning.

There are rising incidents of fraud involving fake agents. These individuals claim to offer scholarship placements for money.

On May 23, GETFund management released a statement. They reported that some people are deceiving Ghanaians. These fraudsters falsely claim they can secure scholarships for cash payments.

GETFund emphasized that it does not charge fees at any stage. No one is authorized to collect money on its behalf.

“These claims are false and should be ignored,” the statement said. The public should treat such solicitations as scams. They should report suspicious activity to security agencies or GETFund directly.

GETFund will not be responsible for financial losses from these schemes.

The organization reaffirmed its commitment to fairness and integrity. It assured Ghanaians that its scholarship processes are free, transparent, and merit-based.
