The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced a major shake-up in its regional leadership, reassigning several Regional Health Directors effective April 14, 2025.
The move, aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery nationwide, sees key officials shifting roles both within the regions and at GHS headquarters.
Notable changes include Dr. Samuel Kwabena Boakye-Boateng moving from the Upper East Region to head the Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division, while Dr. Kennedy T.C. Brightson takes over as Acting Director of Family Health.
Several other directors have also been reassigned across regions.
The GHS emphasizes that these changes are strategic, ensuring efficiency and improved service delivery to meet national healthcare goals.
