GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited has dismissed claims that the Aboso Glass Factory in Tarkwa was sold for GH₵8 million.
Managing Director Kofi Jumah clarified that GIHOC, which acquired the facility in 2019, has no plans to sell it but is actively working to revive its operations by 2025.
Speaking to Citi Business News, Jumah described the reports as baseless, urging the public to ignore them. He affirmed the company’s commitment to restoring the factory as a major industrial asset, stating, "We are investing significant resources and time to rebuild and revitalize the plant."
Dormant for years, the Aboso Glass Factory remains a crucial part of Ghana’s industrial landscape, with GIHOC’s revitalization plans offering a promising future.
