The Intake 12 Foundation recently celebrated its first anniversary. This initiative comes from the Twelfth Recruit Intake of the Ghana Immigration Service. The celebration took place on May 1, 2025, at Victory Presbyterian Church in Adenta, Frafraha.
During the event, the Foundation launched its charitable fund. They raised about GHS 22,000 to support community and welfare projects. The theme was “Celebrating a Year of Impact and Growth.” Many Immigration officers, patrons, community leaders, and stakeholders attended.
Deputy Commissioner of Immigration Scholastica Afua Mensah was the guest speaker. She praised the Foundation for its vision and impact in just one year. She called it a “shining example of service-driven social impact.” She encouraged members to use social media for fundraising.
DCOI Mensah stressed leadership continuity and transparency for long-term success. Foundation President Mr. Moses Biney shared key milestones from their journey. He noted their transition from informal beginnings in April 2023 to formal registration in May 2024.
“In just one year, we have united our members under a common vision,” he said. Mr. Biney also presented three laptops donated by Patron Mr. Denis Kenzie Foli Nador to key committees.
The ceremony included certificates of recognition for dedicated members. Public Relations Officer Mr. Prince Kwao Aboagye highlighted notable accomplishments over the past year:
- Donations of sanitary pads to Pantang Hospital.
- Financial assistance to sick members and bereaved families.
- Collaborations with NGOs to aid vulnerable communities.
Mr. Denis Kenzie Foli Nador assured attendees of financial accountability for contributions as Chairman of the Fund Committee. He stated that this fund would provide hope and development for the underprivileged.
Founded with the motto “Together for a Better World,” the Foundation aims for an equitable society where basic needs are met. It supports education, vocational training, humanitarian relief, and sustainable development initiatives.
The anniversary event featured performances by the Akuapem Melodic Choir and cultural displays by Tower of Liberty Cultural Troupe. As they enter their second year, leaders reaffirmed their commitment to community ties and sustainable development through compassionate action.
