The President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, has urged Angel FM to reconsider the title of its midday news bulletin, ‘Orgasm News,’ citing concerns over professionalism and journalistic ethics.
Speaking at a media engagement, he stressed that while creativity in programming is encouraged, media branding should uphold integrity and societal values.
Dwumfour noted that the term "orgasm" in a news context could create unnecessary controversy and mislead audiences, especially younger listeners.
While some media analysts argue the name reflects enthusiasm in reporting, others believe it trivializes serious journalism.
Angel FM has yet to respond, but industry observers suggest a possible rebrand to align with ethical standards and maintain public trust.
