GJA to honour 24 media champions on World Press Freedom Day 2025

The Ghana Journalists Association will honor 24 individuals and organizations. They are recognized for their efforts in advancing press freedom. This will happen during the 2025 World Press Freedom Day celebration.

The theme for this year is “Honouring Champions of Press Freedom and Media Development in Ghana.” It focuses on strengthening the media in the age of AI.

The ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 2. It will acknowledge media practitioners committed to press freedom.

President John Dramani Mahama will attend as the special guest of honor. He is expected to deliver an address at the event.
