The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a weather warning. High temperatures and possible thunderstorms are expected today.
GMet forecasts temperatures to rise significantly. The northern sector may reach 39°C. The forest zone could see highs of 34°C.
The coastal area will be slightly cooler, with maximums around 33°C. The transition zone is expected to peak at 35°C.
In the early hours, residents along the coast should expect mist and clouds. There is a chance of rain, especially in forest regions and areas north of the coastline.
As the day goes on, sunny conditions will dominate most areas. However, there will be occasional cloudy intervals.
GMet warns that thunderstorms may develop from afternoon into evening. These storms could affect both urban and rural communities.
This weather may disrupt outdoor activities for many people.
The agency advises everyone to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged sun exposure. It also recommends taking precautions against changing weather throughout the day.
