The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a weather update. It predicts hot conditions across the country. Temperatures may reach as high as 41°C in the north.
GMet reports early morning mist over coastal and forest zones. This will clear to partly cloudy skies in most areas. By midday, more sunshine is expected, leading to a hot afternoon.
Today's temperature forecasts show minimums between 23°C and 26°C. Maximum temperatures will range from 34°C along the coast to 41°C in the north. The transition zone may see highs of up to 37°C, while the forest zone could reach 36°C.
Despite sunny weather, GMet warns of possible localized thunderstorms later today. These storms may occur in the middle belt, transition areas, and parts of the north.
Residents should stay hydrated and limit sun exposure. They are also advised to take precautions for potential thunderstorms.
