GMet forecasts thunderstorms across parts of Ghana this evening

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a 24-hour weather forecast. They warn of possible thunderstorms or rain across several parts of the country later today.

This morning, most areas will be partly cloudy. Mist may form over mountainous and forest zones. As the day goes on, sunny spells with some clouds are expected nationwide.

From late afternoon into the evening, thunderstorms or rain may affect coastal, middle, transition, and northern regions. Cities like Takoradi, Ho, Koforidua, Kumasi, Sunyani, Tamale, and Yendi have a 30–60% chance of rain or thunderstorms.

Temperature forecasts show that the hottest areas will be in the north. Damongo and Nalerigu are expected to reach highs of 37°C and 38°C. In the south, Accra and Cape Coast may hit a maximum of 33°C.

GMet advises the public to take precautions in flood-prone areas. They also recommend staying updated on weather alerts due to potential strong winds.
