GMet warns of storms, strong winds, and possible flooding in Northern Ghana

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a weather update.

They warn of moderate to heavy thunderstorms and rain in the north and transition belts.

This rainstorm was forecasted earlier and is now active. It is expected to continue through the morning and early afternoon.

Cloudiness may spread to parts of the coastal and middle belts. Thunderstorms or rain are possible in those areas as well.

The forest zone might see some mist and fog patches. The overall weather pattern shows rising concern in the north.

GMet warns that moderate to strong winds could affect northern areas. Localized flooding may occur in vulnerable regions.

The agency urges the public, especially in affected areas, to take precautions.

- Coastal areas: 24°C – 33°C
- Forest zone: 24°C – 34°C
- Transition belt: 23°C – 33°C
- Northern sector: 25°C – 35°C
