GPL 2024/25: Basake Holy Stars target league double over Accra Lions

Basake Holy Stars, newly promoted in the Ghana Premier League, aim for a league double over Accra Lions this season.

The two teams will meet on matchday 27 at the Accra Sports Stadium. This match is set for Saturday, April 12.

Accra Lions recently lost to Samartex after winning two games in a row. They defeated Legon Cities and Nsoatreman before that loss.

Holy Stars ended an eight-game winless streak by beating Berekum Chelsea.

There are seven points between the two teams ahead of Saturday's match. The Lions are in the relegation zone and want to close the gap.

A win could lift Lions above Karela United, depending on other results. Holy Stars could rise to 10th place with a victory.

Lions have earned only 17 points at home this season from 12 games. In contrast, Holy Stars have just five points from their away matches.
