GPL 2024/25: Karela United thump Accra Lions at home 

Karela United moved out of the relegation zone on Sunday. They achieved this with a strong 3-0 win over Accra Lions.

Abdul Latif and Malik Abubakar scored in the first half. Karela opened the scoring in the 32nd minute. They doubled their lead just before halftime, with Abubakar scoring in the 43rd minute.

Young Apostles struggled to threaten Karela's defense during the first half. Their performance was troubled and ineffective.

After halftime, Wenchi-based Young Apostles tried to compete early on. However, they had few opportunities to score. They could not reduce the deficit despite their efforts.

Just when it seemed like the game would end 2-0, Karela scored again. This third goal capped off a great performance for them.

With this win, Karela now sits 14th on the league table. They are just two points behind Young Apostles as the season nears its end.
