GRNMA strike begins today: Here is the Roadmap

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association is continuing its strike.

The Health Ministry and Labour Minister have urged them to stop. However, the association believes the government is not committed to their service conditions.

They have outlined a plan for their members to follow.

From June 2–3, 2025, nurses and midwives will wear red armbands and headbands in protest.

From June 4–8, 2025, they will withdraw outpatient department (OPD) services.

Starting June 9, 2025, all nursing and midwifery services will be withdrawn nationwide.

Over 128,000 nurses and midwives across Ghana are expected to join the strike.
